CUPRAZIN - seawater fungicide / protozoacide.

Whitespot, Oodinium, Benedenia, Trichodina and fungal infections are amongst the fastest killing organisms and therefore, once recognised should be treated immediately. With this in mind you are advised, when unsure of an ailment's diagnostic background to automatically use CUPRAZIN as directed.
CUPRAZIN'S formula is designed to be low stress-inducing, gradually compounding in strength to effective levels. Once this level is achieved addition of the product may be stopped.

CUPRAZIN should be used to treat all newly purchased sea fishes except sharks, rays, Harlequin Tuskfish, invertebrates and other related species. In cases where these creatures are present use MYXAZIN or OCTOZIN as an alternative. CUPRAZIN should not be used in those systems which contain any invertebrates. This includes crustaceans.

Iodine-Pro supplement provides a unique triple release system for invertebrates and corals. Iodine-Pro contains free iodine, time released iodine and iodine in salt form. Although present in salt mixes, iron is rapidly used up in the system, and removed through precipitation. All calcareous animals, especially corals, need calcium to grow and flourish. However, the growth rate of corals depends mostly on the algae that live symbiotically within them as this algae uses carbon dioxide (obtained from certain calcium compounds present in natural sea water) during photosynthesis, making the calcium freely available for the coral to absorb. Only when calcium and carbon dioxide are available together can this symbiotic relationship work, and Tropic Marin Bio-Calcium is the ideal source of both.

A multiple compound buffer

Waterlife 8.3 Buffer will raise and maintain the pH of aquarium water up to 8.3 by increasing the temporary hardness. 8.3 Buffer will not increase the pH of aquarium water above 8.3 if used as directed. Check pH and dKH levels regularly since naturally occuring acids will erode the buffer over time.
Like all Waterlife products, 8.3 Buffer is harmless to nitrifying bacteria.

Trace elements are elements that are present in natural seawater in a concentration lower than approx. 1 mg/L or ppm. Some of these elements are essential to make many biological processes possible:

• Manganese is essential for photosynthesis and many biochemical reactions associated with it.

• Iron is required by some organisms to absorb essential nutrients.

• Cobalt is essential for the formation of several coral pigments.

• Zinc, like manganese, is essential for photosynthesis and also for the formation of calcium carbonate by corals.

Salifert's research has shown that some trace elements are depleted very fast (e.g. Manganese) while some are depleted very slowly. An example of a trace element that hardly depletes is molybdenum. Despite this, many trace element supplements contain significant amounts of molybdenum. This results in far too high molybdenum concentration which stimulates undesirable cyanobacteria growth. Salifert's supplements do not contain molybdenum.

Although every aquarium is different, Salifert has succeeded in designing trace element supplements which add sufficient trace elements to make corals thrive, yet avoid overdosing. The largest difference between trace element usage is between hard corals and soft/leather corals and coralline algae. We have therefore designed two different supplements:-

Trace Hard - a trace element mix for hard corals.

Trace Soft - a trace element mix for soft/leather corals and coralline algae.

Both can be combined according to the approximate ratio of the aquarium inhabitants. In this way, a very close to perfect formulation of trace elements for different aquariums is possible.Since addition of iodine is impossible without degrading this supplement, all forms of iodine are omitted. Salifert's Natural Iodine is recommended to complete the full range of trace elements.

• Zinc, like manganese, is essential for photosynthesis and also for the formation of calcium carbonate by corals.

Salifert's research has shown that some trace elements are depleted very fast (e.g. Manganese) while some are depleted very slowly. An example of a trace element that hardly depletes is molybdenum. Despite this, many trace element supplements contain significant amounts of molybdenum. This results in far too high molybdenum concentration which stimulates undesirable cyanobacteria growth. Salifert's supplements do not contain molybdenum.

Although every aquarium is different, Salifert has succeeded in designing trace element supplements which add sufficient trace elements to make corals thrive, yet avoid overdosing. The largest difference between trace element usage is between hard corals and soft/leather corals and coralline algae. We have therefore designed two different supplements:-

Trace Hard - a trace element mix for hard corals.

Trace Soft - a trace element mix for soft/leather corals and coralline algae.

Both can be combined according to the approximate ratio of the aquarium inhabitants. In this way, a very close to perfect formulation of trace elements for different aquariums is possible.Since addition of iodine is impossible without degrading this supplement, all forms of iodine are omitted. Salifert's Natural Iodine is recommended to complete the full range of trace elements.
